Girls Rock Sacramento helps those who identify as girls, non-binary, or gender-expansive build self-esteem through music education and performance, collaboration, empowerment, a supportive community of peers and mentors, and the development of leadership skills with a focus on social justice.
Project Description
Our music programs empower marginalized youth by challenging gender stereotypes, fostering collaboration, and providing a safe space for self-expression. Aligned with the global Girls Rock Camp Alliance, we amplify silenced voices through music and creative expression, advocating for an intersectional feminist future. Our upcoming Oak Park youth camps will follow our successful model, utilizing social media, community outreach, and school visits to recruit participants and local artists as instructors, coaches, and performers, advancing our social justice mission and minority elevation in the music industry.
