Artist Background

Taner Pasamehmetoğlu is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist and communications professional in Sacramento, California. His work has been featured in numerous publications, campaigns, and galleries locally and in Utah, where he resided until moving to California in 2020. Taner has cultivated a lifelong passion for his visual art practice, particularly photography and painting, often exploring sustainability and environmental protection themes in his work.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication from the University of Utah and became a skilled photojournalist covering various topics. Taner also has extensive experience in advertising, contributing to campaigns for major Fortune 500 companies and Utah state departments, notably focused on issues like the dangers of drinking and driving and water conservation.

Since moving to California during the pandemic, he has deepened his painting practice and appreciation for nature, concentrating on local environmental challenges. Through his personal and professional journey, Taner aims to leverage art to engage, enrich, and enlighten communities, fostering meaningful conversations and action on Sacramento's evolving climate issues.
